Technology
As a practicing landscape architect and design instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College, I am committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements that impact the landscape design-build sector. In order to provide the highest level of efficiency and precision in my work, I explore and integrate the latest software and hardware tools. These technologies not only improve the design process but also serve as a bridge between landscape architecture, construction, and engineering.
Here are the platforms I’m currently exploring to enhance design productivity. My goal is to develop efficient workflows that lead to client buy-in during the design/sales phase and accuracy in documentation, which leads to a successful construction phase.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a collaborative process that uses 3D models to plan, design, and construct buildings. BIM models include information about the design, construction, and usage of a building and landscape. BIM: links all your drawings, details, models, and schedules; updates on as projects evolve and go through revisions.
